What are your thoughts on teaching science in the classroom even when it is not being tested on?
I recall not being taught science in elementary until the 5th grade because that was the year we were tested on it. What a great idea to expose them to chemistry at that age. I would advise working with the light spectrum. There are many connections that the kids can make using their prior knowledge. It can also be taught in a variety of ways that will make it fun for the students.
