Hello Stephanie, I loved your book collection on the Force and Motion. This collection was very informative and enhances my learning. My favorite article was the Science Shorts: "Knowing" Newton by Chris Ohana. I really liked how they made this concept student-friendly which allows the student to comprehend Newton's laws. I also liked the BSCS 5E Instructional Model by Emily Morgan and Karen Ansberry. A 5E lesson is important for a student because it leads to exploration and critical thinking. I like how this was a plan for teachers to understand how to encourage students to explore, construct their own understandings, and related these understandings to concepts. The article Toying with Motion: Exploring Newton's laws of motion with student activities helped me understand how toys can motivate students to learn and apply Newton's Law of Motion. This is extremely helpful in elementary especially the little ones because we want students to be able to understand and recall these concepts as they grow older. I enjoyed reading your collection because it has shown me the importance of creating 5E lessons on scientific concepts and creating activities that will allow the students to explore. This is a fun way to promote scientific learning. Great job!
