I am not sure what specific grade levels you are speaking of but younger students like hands on activities. Hands on activities provide engagement. Also a variety of activities also helps. When you have something that does not engage them make sure you have an alternative activity to share.

Hi Lilliana
Would it be safe for you to demonstrate evaporation using a hot plate and boiling water? You may also access an old fashion teapot that whistles. If you do not think you could do that safely in your room you may want to show a youtube video of a Steam Train and ask where they think the steam goes.
