I teach science from a framework of "Science for the Greater Good." To inspire the teaching and learning I want to bring authentic real-life experiences and examples to the students. Before the school district went to an Online format, my typical week consisted of three days of instruction and two days of hands-on science lab projects. Now, starting end of April 2020, classes will resume. I have the same resolve, albeit, now more of a virtual presence, and a challenge, since all instruction and labs will be moving to the Online format.
My Vision is for students to have confidence reading and doing science by developing their science literacy. And to incorporate the engineering and interdisciplinary science along with technology integration into their tools for successful engineering and science experiences. The goals are for students to be able to self-advocate and to guide students into the Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) sectors of our economy.
One way that I can
