I believe that creativity is very important. I'm not so sure if he should grade that much of the project based on creativity, but it is important for students. I am so glad that STEM is starting to be incorporated into classrooms more. I worked for the YMCA over the summer and we had to make lessons and come with activities that inlcuded STEM. Great question! I am currently student teaching in a second grade classroom. We do science and social studies at least three times a week. I find my guide teacher switching off between language arts and social studies or science.
