Understanding Practitioner Research
Through reading this article I learned what 'practitioner research' is and how it is beneficial to teachers and students alike. As a student-teacher I think it is crucial to reflect on the practice of teaching. Observing students to behaviors and attitudes towards school, and their work output is the first step in discovering what you need to change about your teaching. The blame should not be placed on the student for doing poorly, it is a clear indication that you have to change something in the way you teach. As a soon to be teacher I realize the importance of continually reflecting and improving on your pedagogy. As teachers we are never done learning! Thanks for the great article :)
