My NSTA / Peers / Tocha Moreno

My name is Tocha, pronounced (Tasha). I, like many of you, am an education major. I am currently in student teaching one, and I am placed in Channelview ISD at DeZavala Elementary School. I am in a second grade ELA /Social studies class, but secretly I would prefer to be in a math/science class. I am older than most in the program, BUT not everyone. I have a twin brother (no we do not look a like) named George. I have been married going on 6 years to the love of my life, and together we have a 5-year old daughter named Natalie.

I am currently in my first year of student teaching and we keep an interactive notebook. I rather enjoy maintaining it because I like the structure and organization. I actually want to incorporate it into my future classroom, and one idea that I liked was to keep a journal with each class that I teach and add into it as the students add into theirs.
