I teach 5th and 6th grade science and love it. I primarily focus in earth science. I recently started teaching astronomy and love it!

Not sure if you are familiar with www.donorschoose.org, but it is a nationwide resource that allows you to write multiple grants at one time and have them funded by private and company donors. Every once in a while they will offer a match grant for math/science/tech grants. Just be creative with your label and you can usually qualify for any of these.

As a science teacher that enjoys reading I love to hook students into reading by finding great science content related books for students. This article helped me choose a few more books to order for my classroom. I just wish the article provided a few more title!
