Hello everyone! As a new teacher, I am slightly curious. In our society, everyone has their own opinions on different topics. If I was to teach a science topic, whether it be climate change or evolution, and there was a parent or parents that disagree with those topics and didn't want their child to be a part of it, would I still teach it to the child and the entire class?

I think that a good way to teach students about climate change would maybe start with getting an understanding on what they know about the topic. Maybe asking if they have seen or talked about it at home or with other people can get a start to being more open to the topic. In my opinion, if I was doing an experiment to show to the students, I would most likely have them gather around the table or on the floor so that they aren't distracted by other things on their desk or other things.
