I love reading about successful project-based learning! This is a great project that can be adjusted for varying locations and grade-levels. This project is noteworthy because it is one of the few that I have seen that can be done through distance learning. It can be difficult to organize project-based learning for the younger grades given the current climate of education. This project is reasonable and exciting as you investigate locally before branching outwards to a global scale.
