This series is made up of information, activities, and resources for teachers to copy and send home with students. This one on tornadoes provides good information, an activity for lower elementary and research questions for upper elementary. Overall, it is a good resource. Even in 2004 when it was written, I would have liked to have seen at least three internet resources available (I would have recommended FEMA for kids and something with weather maps like weatherunderground.com) and 2-4 suggested trade books students could look for in their local libraries over the summer.
