This article describes a CD provided in the NSTA high school journal called ‘Cosmic Time’ that is interactive and interdisciplinary. As the author states, this is a “narrative of the origin and evolution of galaxies, stars, planets, and life.” While the CD is not available from this 2005 article, the website provided as a resource in this article is still active today and would definitely appeal to our computer savvy high school students.

The article, "Trekking Across the Science Boundaries", details using a computer resource to explore our place in the universe by integrating physics, biology, chemistry, and cultural sciences. By using a CD provided with the original print article (the contents of the CD can be accessed via a website that is listed at the end of the article under the "On the Web" resources), teachers and students are able to explore cosmic evolution from the Big Bang to the present. The author details how teachers in various science disciplines can use the the website and/or CD to study cosmic evolution . The author also includes an example of an activity that uses a 12 hour analog clock as an analogy of cosmic evolution. Overall, this is a good article that contains useful information about integrating various science disciplines to study cosmic evolution.
