This article advocates for collaboration between high school classes/teachers and universities or industry through seeking grants. Some require ‘in-kind’ matching funds, and some provide equipment to participate in research through a university. Thinking outside the box helps the teacher secure these collaborations. With these partnerships and/or money grants the students in the long run benefit from new experiences.
