Tech Trek: No need to weather the storm to collect data

At a time when climate change is at the forefront of the media and is a topic of worldwide scientific inquiry, it is critical to engage middle school science students in technology-based activities that integrate climate change into course instruction. The precision weather instruments that are available for science instruction offer a unique opportunity to participate in technology-based inquiry. This month’s column describes some of these electronic weather stations that are currently available, and includes a list of online weather projects, databases, and internet sites for classroom use.
