However, the journaling and discussion aspects presented here are appropriate for ALL grade levels to discover misconceptions and to allow students to develop their own understandings based on their science experiences. It provides details a beginner can use on how to facilitate the discussion to guide students to testable questions, set up an inexpensive experiment, and guide students to determine data collection requirements and analysis. A great model for inquiry at any level.
