This article helps the new teacher respond to phone calls from parents. The author starts with the three n’s which are as follows: never respond to a parent when you are angry, don’t take an insult personally, and remember that you don’t know what motivated the call so ask first. With this said make sure you document in a log who you talked to and what it was about. Taking phone calls may not be an unpleasant event. Sometimes you get calls that are supportive or thankful.
