This particular column is chemistry oriented. Two questions arise. The first question asks if there are two different correct ways to balance a chemical equation and the second question asks why the first energy level in an atom is called the K shell. The answer to the first is no because the solution must correspond to the set of smallest whole number coefficients. If there are two solutions then the reaction can occur in more than one way. The second question talks about the scientist not wanting to use A, B, C etc. The article goes on to explain two myths about the naming of the energy levels which is very interesting.
