And as scientists it is natural for us to explore new technologies, as well. My education (unlike the author) pre-dated overheads at one point, so I have seen a lot of change (who else remembers turning the tape at the beep?). We should embrace technology but remember it is a public medium with all the inherent problems that includes and take care to plan lessons so that students stay safe - but have fun and learn how to use technology to become self-learners and to teach others.

Embrace the digital age. This article encourages creating a webpage and staying away from Facebook. Actually if you look at the new Project Based Learning using Facebook properly is encouraged. I believe that technology has surpassed this fear of Facebook and encourages use of different project using a wide variety of free Web2.0 tools.
