This article written in 2009 describes what two authors did to celebrate the International Year of Astronomy. They developed a set of curriculum support materials called ‘Cosmic Times’. The curriculum is composed of 6 posters and 28 lessons with a teacher’s guide. This website from Goddard Space Center, NASA, is still active and provides a wealth of teacher accessible articles, lessons, and more backed by a very reliable source that can be used in the classroom as is. Some sample materials are provided in the article. This is an excellent free resource for teachers and students alike.
