The 5E Teaching Model is well understood but this author adds more to it. Enhanced Engagement, Exploring with Technology, Explanations and Reflections, Extensions through E-search, Evaluations through E-search, and E-excellence. In this authors view the use of technology did not replace hands-on activities but rather enhanced them to provide a more stimulating learning experience than with the traditional 5E model. While technology is good and provides valuable skills, this model must also extend the amount of time students need to study any topic.
