Shrimp Farming in the Classroom

In inquiry-based instruction, discovery and learning belong to the students. In this exploration, jumbo shrimp are the source of inspiration. The magic in this project lies not in successfully culturing these shrimp, known as Macrobrachium rosenbergii, but in culturing student inquiry. This project taps students’ natural curiosity to teach a scientific research model through inquiry.
