An environmental advocate is a protector of the natural world and the inhabitants that live within that world. This advocate works for Wetlands Watch which is a nonprofit that protects and conserves Virginia’s wetlands. Learning about the different aspects of her job leads you to understand the importance of her position to this particular environment. The effects of global warming and the rising of sea level is a real threat to this area both environmentally and economically. She is also the assistant director of climate adaptation and her job will only get more important with time. This article might influence students toward future jobs and is a must read in my opinion.
