When I was reading the book, I was expecting to know a lot of the content having taken college classes for this. I was actually surprised that there was some parts of it that I didn't know. I loved how engaging the content was and how it was interactive. I love that there were questions for us to review our knowledge, activities and videos to watch that helped to clarify some of the concepts that we were learning about.

I love learning about Earth, so this e-book was very interesting to me! One positive aspect I liked about the e-book was that they had links to click, and you could learn about the Earth's perspective. I liked how I could answer questions, and the link had visuals on what I was learning. Another positive aspect of the e-book was the "check your thinking". I could think of an answer and then check it to see if I got it right or not. I don't have any improvements for this e-book. It was very straightforward and easy to understand. My favorite part about this e-book was learning that Europa, Enceladus, and Mars all have evidence of liquid water on them.

I have always enjoyed studying Earth Science, and my experience with this e-book was very positive. The easy-to-use navigation makes it simple to explore its contents, which is great for both teachers and students. One of the best features of this resource is the inclusion of Common Student Preconceptions throughout the text. This is very helpful for teachers because it shows the misunderstandings that students may have. Understanding these misconceptions allows teachers to address them during lessons. I’ve noticed that I sometimes overlook these preconceptions when I teach, so this information is very useful. The clear organization of the e-book makes it easy to find important topics to explore more deeply. It also allows teachers to put aside some topics for later, which is especially helpful in a classroom where time is limited. Additionally, the hands-on activities in the e-book are simple to adapt and use in class. This ease of use is important for creating an engaging and interactive learning environment. I really enjoyed going through this e-book! I loved how interactive it was and how it broke down the content about the Earth, Moon, and Sun in a way that was easy to understand but still very informative. The different activities and check-in questions throughout each chapter helped reinforce what I was learning, and I liked that there were chances to pause and reflect before moving on. The “Check Your Thinking” boxes and end-of-chapter quizzes were super helpful for reviewing and preparing for the final assessment. I also appreciated that the information was clear and not overwhelming—the pages were short, direct, and well-organized. As a future teacher, I can definitely see how this resource could be used to help make science more engaging and hands-on for students. I have always enjoyed learning as much as possible about astronomy. As I am getting closer and closer to earning my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, this textbook has helped me relearn and review the information I have learned over the years! It was a great refresher and I learned new things I hadn’t before. I love how the e-book offered opportunities to review and reflect on the topics, as well as to track your own understanding of the material!

I really enjoyed this e-book about all the many facts about our Earth, Moon, and Sun. I thought the book was packed full of information and gave many opportunities for practice throughout the book. Each chapter was filled with interactive websites, questions, and at home experiments. I also thought it was helpful that the pages were not an overload of information. They were short, concise and very clear. The "check your thinking" boxes and short questions really reassured me that I was fully understanding the content. The end of chapter evaluations were also a good study tool for the assessment. Although I had a little trouble with the assessment at first, I found it very helpful that the book provided feedback and a review of each chapter and more practice questions! Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to other pre-service teachers.

This E-book was very informative and had some amazing content throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed going through this interactive book. I love how there were so many different activities to do, checks for understanding, and quizzes at the end of each unit. One thing I also really enjoyed was how I could do different activities that demonstrated the lesson being taught. For example, I had to move the moon around to show different phases in one slide. Before reading this book, I thought I knew a lot about the earth, sun, and moon because it is an area that interests me a lot, and I have studied a lot about it over the years, but this book gave me a deeper understanding that I will be able to have for myself and also to definitely use throughout my teaching career for years to come.

I really enjoyed this e-book! This is a platform that is new to me but I found it to be very interesting and informational. I really liked the interactive activities throughout the module which allowed me to experience the material in a different way. I think the Check Your Understanding questions and quizzes at the end of each object were helpful to think back on as I did the Final Assessment. I think this would be a good resource to use in my future classroom that is more interesting and hands-on than just reading the information from a textbook. The only problem I had with the e-book is that the format of the quizzes would mess up sometimes. When I would click the button to go to the next question, it wouldn't fully switch to a new page and half the question would cut off. This could potentially be a problem with my computer though.

However, one thing I think it could improve on is having more student friendly examples. Using this would have students to understand the content more. If the book had this it would be awesome! I really enjoyed going through this e-book! I think this would be an excellent resource to use in my future classroom for supplemental resources and when presenting lessons about the Earth, Sun, and Moon. I think the text included in this ebook would be better for upper elementary and middle school students just because of some of the vocabulary and academic language used. I really liked the interactive elements, videos, and quizzes included throughout the ebook because they do a great job at showing real scenarios or situations that students could relate to and understand why the Sun rises where it does or how our Earth experiences seasons. I think these sections progress very well and allow students to make connections as they read based on the previous information, so I think this ebook would be very easy to follow and build understanding.

I felt as a future educator this was great because I was able to really engage with the content in this e-book. I think that this Ebook is extremely beneficial for educators to use. It both highlights a great deal of the content knowledge needed for earth and space units, it also highlights applications inside a classroom and how to battle student misconceptions. The content of this book most closely aligns to MS-ESS1 standards, it focuses more on the planet and space as a whole, not as much in depth about earths processes or human activity. My favorite part of any of these Ebooks is the pedagogical implications section as it highlights the most important content to be focused on in class to ensure student success.

In addition provided the information for all the different layers in the atmosphere. It also discussed the different layers of the earth and what they are called as well as what they are made of. This text would be an amazing resource to pull from whenever your students are learning about the Earth, moon and the sun. I learned so much from reading over it and doing the final assessment at the end. On most pages, it provides you with great review questions from the information found on the pages; I think that it is a great way to test to see if your students are actually learning from the text. I also really like the graphics that it provides on most pages; they are a great way to connect what you or your students are seeing visually. It is very important for kids to have visuals and I just think it does a great job of capturing the text in the images. Overall, it is a great resource for teachers to use and pull from for their lessons!

This textbook was a great resource to use when creating a lesson plan discussing how shadow's change due to Earth's rotation. This book contained lots of visuals, was organized in a great and easy way to understand and provided detailed and informative explanations in each chapter. The visuals displayed in this textbook were extremely useful in helping me gain a greater understanding of the content. Additionally, having a short quiz after each chapter was very beneficial, as it helped me know exactly what understanding of the textbook I had and what areas I still needed to spend a little more time focused on. The textbook was also a great resource because it provided me with content that I was already familiar with and that my students should be familiar with, but it also introduced new topics and explained them in great detail. I learned a ton from the E-book and would recommend it to anyone who is studying Earth, Sun or the Moon or just wants to learn a little bit more about these topics!

I think this is a very informative E-Book and was very useful to me when crafting a lesson plan about how shadows change due to Earth’s rotation on its axis. The book was well organized, displaying the content in an order that was easy to follow, summarizing the content at the end of each chapter, and ending with a quiz to review your understanding of what you read. The pages were filled with animations, images, and videos that enhanced the readings by providing visual representations of the concepts presented. The chapters of content were preceded by a chapter about the pedagogical implications for grades K-12, and are broken up into bands of grades. I found pedagogical implications for grades 3-5 to be especially beneficial to me, as my students are in 5th grade. It included several concepts that students in this grade band should know at this point in their schooling. I learned so much from this E-Book and I would recommend this to any educator or pre-service educator to aid with their science lesson planning.

I found this Interactive E-Books+ Professional to be very useful in crafting my lesson plan on the phases of the moon. Firstly, I feel that it is very well organized. I appreciate how it starts with more simple and broad topics (i.e., general characteristics of the Earth, evidence of the Earth's roundness, and the nature of Earth's orbit) , before getting into more complex and specific topics (i.e., eclipses, seasons, and the phases of the moon). I think this aspect of the material was beneficial to me as a reader because it allowed me to build off of simpler knowledge instead of diving right into the difficult concepts. I also appreciated the regular check-in assessments that occurred on nearly every page. This was great for reviewing material and monitoring my progress as I went through the e-Book. Between the way the cognitive demand of the material increased gradually, and the consistent checks for understanding, this e-book truly was interactive in that it felt almost like a full online lesson in and of itself. In addition, I have to admit that the final assessment was significantly more difficult than I anticipated, and I had to use all of three of my chances to get a passing score. While frustrating at the time, I can now appreciate that the book's material had a high cognitive demand, and a lot of attention and effort was needed to succeed. This should always be the expectation when teaching and learning. Overall, I am very grateful to have found this material for my lesson plan - especially for it's detailed description and visual of the phases of the moon (p. 73). This was exactly what I needed to figure out how to explain the causes of the apparent changing shape of the moon over the course of a month to students.

This resource gave me a lot of good information to review a topic that I personally have not covered since being in high school andI will be teaching. The summary and evaluation after every section was a good chem in to make sure the informations was being retained. There evaluations were helpful to ensure the information covered was understood before moving on to new information. The E-book good pictures and short videos to visualize the information that was also in the text. The small blocks of information labeled "common student preconceptions" was helpful as a future teacher to be able to see possibilities for what my students may be thinking during this. lesson. The final assemsnt at the end of the E-book was challenging but not too difficult. I think this encouraged students to have productive struggle, and to think deeper about all of the information they were just introduced to. All in all the E-book gave a lot of helpful resources to help my as the teacher and the students to learn different information in a variety of different ways

This E-book gave me the information I needed to create a well-informed lesson plan for a fifth grade class. I personally, learned a great deal of information after reviewing each chapter and completing the final assessment. I especially appreciated the review questions, and opportunities to check your thinking throughout. These served as an emphasis to certain ideas and practices that I should include in my lesson about the Earth, Sun, and Moon. The common student preconceptions were also very helpful to me as a future teacher so that I could be more aware of a students prior knowledge. This E-book was full of so many great visuals that could be incorporated into lesson plans to aid in the understanding of students. Overall, I thought this E-book was extremely helpful to me as a teacher in order provide my students with the most effective, informative, and interactive lesson about the Earth, Sun and Moon.

This Scipack included several videos, interactive activities, and pictures to keep you engaged and to further explain the information. The Earth, Sun, and Moon interactive e-book was actually surprisingly interesting. I really enjoy space, and one of the units that I didn’t get to learn much about in grade school, as well as later on, was the Earth, Sun, and Moon. As a future teacher, I really wanted to brush up and understand the topics that students are learning about. I really enjoyed that there were interactive elements and activities that students could do that teachers could implement toward the end, and what would be appropriate for each grade level. I am a special education major, so it is incredibly important to have a wide and accessible range of different activities and ways of teaching, which I really appreciate about this interactive e-book. I liked that they had sources for everything and included relevant and new information. This is not the type of textbook that you find in your classroom that was written way too long ago and is not relevant. Overall, I really enjoyed the e-book, and I enjoyed the interesting interactive details while still being simple and educational. I like how this could be used by students or even teachers.

I enjoyed going through this EBook. I didn't realize how much more than just digital text an EBook is. These are highly interactive with lots of activities, questioning, and quizzes. The only thing I did not like was the format of going through the book, I'm not sure what exactly would be better though. Also the audio recording of each page could be more engaging and highlight as it goes so you can follow along. I think the book is good for the purpose of engaging students and checking for understanding so that students aren't falling behind because they misunderstood something.

This E-book offers tons of interactive resources throughout, including quizzes, videos, diagrams, the standards, etc. I liked that so many different resources were given throughout rather than just reading a large amount of content, so that you stay engaged and are more likely to retain the content. This E-book covers the relationship between the Earth, sun, and moon. All of the content is easy to understand and would make a great tool to be used in the classroom.

The explanations are accurate without feeling overly technical, and the visuals make ideas like axial tilt, lunar phases, and orbital motion much easier to understand. I especially liked how the book separates rotation from revolution and explains why that difference matters for things like day/night cycles, seasons, and the apparent motion of stars. I thought, before reading the book, it would be mostly a review of things I had already learned in other classes. I was actually surprised that there were some topics I didn’t know yet. I enjoyed it for being easy to read and my interest was retained. Questions, activities, and videos were good because they made the information easier to understand instead of just reading a bunch of pages. The book could be rewritten in more ways than one. Giving more examples, from your own life experience, would help to present it in context, with people’s experiences. Adding more images or simple diagrams could even help some of the harder ideas be more clearly portrayed. Short, catchy and clear summaries at the end of each chapter (to briefly review the highlights on major ideas) would also help out. It would be much more interactive and entertaining if there were more hands-on activities or discussion questions

I found this E-Book to be very engaging. Learning about the Earth is so much fun. This E-Book also helps us to see what the sun does for our planet and how we see the moon has different phases. The E-Book was full of questions, videos, and other things to really help the knowledge sink in. While the E-Book is long, there are tons of cool bits of information and facts that really keep you invested. I would absolutely recommend this E-Book to people. To me this E-Book did not have any issues to be seen. It was very enjoyable.

I enjoyed going through this interactive E-Book. The content was organized in a manner that was easy to navigate and manage. While navigating this E-Book, I could easily determine where to place my focus and what was expected of me on each page. The series of quizzes throughout allowed me the check my understanding and recover topics that I struggled with. This interactive E-Book contained a lot of information on the topic and something that I would consider using in my future classroom. The implementation of hands-on-activities throughout allowed me to see how this information could be presented to students in another mannor. The only downfall of this E-Book, was that some of the embedded activities were more difficult to navigate and needed more in detail instructions in order to navigate.

This book was incredibly informative. I loved the way it was laid out and broken down. The layout was so helpful, and it had many videos and little interactive things to help you visualize the way the Earth is in relation to the moon, sun, and stars. I usually dread quizzes after each section, but I found that it helped me to really take in the important facts that I may have missed, and to help me understand any misconceptions I may have had myself. This book I would recommend to anyone who teaches this type of information, like me or anyone who wants to know more about how our planet and solar system work. You can always stop and take a break and start back off where you stopped. Or if you want to know something specific, the table of contents takes you right where you need to go.

Earth, Sun, and Moon provides a comprehensive review of all three celestial bodies. Beginning with the Earth, the authors provide a detailed overview of all the ‘spheres’ that comprise our earth, from the atmosphere down to the lithosphere. I have struggled with science ever since I was a kid. This e-book helped me revisit the important topics of seasons, Earth's rotation, space, and so much more! I'm currently in practicum with a 5th grade science class, and we have just covered seasons and how Earth's tilt of the axis has a role in the seasons. This e-book helped me recover that information, and I feel a lot more confident in the topic! There were some parts of the book where I needed some clarification, and I would have loved more examples of images/visuals. Overall, this e-book was great!

It also depicts how the Earth's axis and rotation cause the seasons. It also describes how long each rotation is and goes into great detail examining Earth's orbit. This was great because it kept me entertained while reading the book! I believe that the pictures, charts, and interactive pieces of the E-Book made it very helpful to understand what you were reading. I feel as if I have a much better understanding of the Earth, Sun, and Moon now! The final assessment was definitely hard, but if you read and take notes, you'll be fine!

This e-book was incredibly insightful. The book did an excellent job of covering the important topics of the Sun, Moon, and Stars as well as the seasons. This topic is covered heavily in my first grade curriculum, so it was helpful to build my knowledge to transfer it to the classroom. I really like that the e-book is interactive. All of the moveable pictures and check points allowed me to engage with the material in a deeper way. After competing the book, I feel more confident in my ability to teach about the Sun, Moon, and Stars to my students and in the future.

This e-book was a rather easy read while being packed with loads of factual information regarding the earth, moon, and sun. The 4 main parts of the text involved the Earth itself, Earth's orbit in relationship to the sun, the orbit, phases, and eclipses of the moon, and Earth's seasons. At the end of each section, a summary of the pages was provided as well as a short quiz. This greatly helped with reviewing the information needed to pass the final assessment provided at the end of the e-book. There were also questions to review learning spread throughout the pages of the e-book as a way to self-check yourself. All of the interactive links worked for me, however I do feel that some of them were hard to navigate; I found myself not knowing how to be successful with some of them, so I sadly gave up and moved on to the next section of reading. Overall, this e-book provided great information about objects in our Solar System. I highly recommend taking notes throughout and answering the questions provided for self-checking, because the final assessment was a challenge for me. Thank you, NSTA!

I enjoyed this specific e-book as it was engaging throughout each section. I really liked how there were multiple interactive activities and simulations in the ebook that helped see things from different points of view. I was consistently engaged in the topics and was left wanting to learn more as each section went on. This e-book had the review option throughout each section as well which helped to reinforce newly learned information. The only part that I found difficult was the final assessment as the wording of the questions as well as the format of the test questions caught me off guard. Besides my struggles with the final assessment I really enjoyed the rest of the e-book and could definitely see myself using this as a resource in the classroom in the future.

This was a very informative book about how we figured out how the Earth, Sun, and Moon work together. I loved all the historical information. I also liked that it was interactive, that made it more engaging. I would love to use some of the interactive simulations such as building a planet that can inhabit life with my fifth graders! This is a fantastic resource for teachers and students to use! I think the visuals are extremely helpful for all ages. I really liked the review questions along the way. If I could change something about it, it would be the language to adapt to younger grades if needed. I also would change a few things about the interactive pieces of the models. For example, allow students to "mark" their location and view the seasons etc. from their location! Overall, it was a great book.
