Food Chain Collection

PUBLIC

7 items

A food chain shows the movement of food energy through organisms as one living thing eats another. Every food chain starts with producers, who get their energy from the sun – also known as plants. The energy from producers is then passed to first-level consumers, who eat producers. The energy from the first-level consumers is passed to second-level consumers, who eat the first-level consumers. The food chain continues on as each link in the chain becomes food for the next link in the chain
