Hi Chynna!
To be honest, if I were teaching a new topic that I wasn't familair with, I would watch Youtube videos. Of course there are other hepful resources out there. However, I feel that being able to visually see how a lesson of the content you're wanting to teach goes, you wold be able to pick up on fun tips or strategies that you could use to incorporate into your lesson....

Hi Chase!
Not exactly sure what grade level you have, but in my Social Studies methods course, my professor created a fun lesson using the 4th grade standard which focuses on Hawaiian Studies. She connected an Ahupuaa to a watershed. She created her own example of a water shed (tray filled with paper to make slope) and used skittles to represent the type of waste that goes into our water sheds...

Hey everyone! I'm currently placed in a 1st grade class who values making time for art. I have a reading lesson coming up in a few weeks and would love advice on how I could go about on incorporating art into the lesson while still focusing more on the subject of reading.
