I just taught my science lesson today. During my lesson, I often did attending cues, wait time and also low profile techniques. The most effective strategy was the attending cues and wait time because I often do that on a regular basis with my students. Classroom management is a constant learning process for me as well. I’m also in a 3rd grade classroom this semester and I often use attending cues to refocus my students. There are times when I have to do it 2 or 3 times but I always wait till I have their attention and also do wait time.
