Hello!
I am a pre-service teacher and am currently in a course called Teaching Science. One of our assignments is to teach a science lesson. I will be teaching a lesson to a classroom of 6th grade students.
Any advice for lesson planning for this age group? Any favorite lessons or topics?

read the book Dogzilla and have children create a "dog bone slinger" as a solution to the problem in the book. materials: rubber bands, popsicle sticks, glue or duct tape, cardboard scraps, small dixie cups, wire hanger.
