I agree that hands-on labs are best for science students but virtual labs can be beneficial in certain circumstances beyond virtual learning. They might be used to practice prior to a real lab, use equipment that might not be available in the school lab, or to avoid safety issues (Ex. labs involving blood testing or pathogenic bacteria). I have a similar question: can anyone recommend interactive response apps that you are using in the classroom for student response? I would like to find a technology tool to use for formative assessment this year. I have heard of Mentimeter but I am wondering if there are others out there that are good for classroom use.
