I am also working on becoming a new teacher! I am very nervous for going into my first classroom! I feel like even though I still have a couple of semesters left of preparing- it's coming fast! I go into my internship in the fall and am very nervous for that! But I know that this job is so important and rewarding! I can't wait to see firsthand how good teaching can help students grow and learn!

Hello, I am currently in a program to become an Elementary school teacher. In one of my classes I have to teach a science lesson to 2nd graders. I was wondering what some of you may have done with 2nd graders? Any particularly successful lessons/activities that got (and kept) the students' attention? I'm nervous about my first science lesson and would love any ideas or tips!
