Hi Emma! I am also a third year education major, although I am a Mid-level major. I am sure that there will be a lot of questions asked by students that are off topic. It would be easy to dismiss the student and tell them to stay on track. I think this is part of the solution, but we do not want to squash student curiosity. It may be beneficial to incorporate the water cycle, including condensation, evaporation, precipitation, and how these processes are incorporated into the formation of rain clouds. If your unit is built around the water cycle, this will be beneficial, and it will also be beneficial if its not your focus in the sense that students will be building on and applying knowledge to new concepts.
