In my fifth grade class, my science teacher had us create a water cycle song in groups. My group did a remake of the song "Glamorous" by Fergie. Instead of spelling G-L-A-M-O-U-S at the beginning of the song we spelt W-A-T-E-R C-Y-C-L-E. We then sung about the parts of a water cycle. My group and I loved this activity. In regards to creating a lesson plan on the properties of matter that incorporates STEM activities, I have a great idea for the property of density. I would have the students create a tin foil boat and see how many pennies they can put on the boat without sinking it. This would be a great Explore piece for a 5E lesson plan.
