What's In An Atom?

In this collection, I have gathered resources that can help you in the elementary school classroom, especially in the fifth grade, when you are teaching your students about the basic building block of matter: atoms. The main purpose of the resources in this collection is to help students understand the function and the difference between the four main components of an atom, which are the nucleus, the protons, the electrons, and the neutrons.

Force and Motion Collection

Very diverse collection on force and motion!

What I enjoyed the most about this collection on force and motion is that in the description it states that it is tailored for children, and as I scrolled and looked through the resources in the collection I realized that it really is. One of the resources, the chapter on Acceleration, is full of activities that are meant for children. Through the activities in this resource, children can learn about the laws of force and motion in a fun and engaging way. Something else I liked about this collection is that the resources are diverse. The collection includes a book chapter, articles, and SciPacks. This collection could definitely be used in the classroom because "force and motion" is a topic that can be complicated for teacher's to teach to their students, but these resources can be used in order to come up with great inquiry, and fun, lessons.
