Collection 3: Life Science
My first resource is Adaptation, is a worksheet for students when learning about adaptation in animal life. This activity is good for students to elaborate/explain their ideas about biological adaptation. My second resource is Bringing Your Classroom to Life journal article, this article can be used as a supplement to when teaching students about living things and how they function and their structures. This resource has a variety of examples and questions you can use in your classroom when teaching about this topic. My third resource is a 5 E lesson plan about Chai Seeds. This lesson plan is great for when learning about plant products and life cycles, this lesson plan gives a variety of activities that are inquiry based. Collection 2: Earth and Space Science
The first resource is a journal article called "A Traveler's Guide to The Universe". This resource is an article that has four activities you can implement into your classroom when teaching about space. The activities include: observing the moon, observing the planets, observing the stars, observing the galaxies. For this, students are sketching and observing what they observe at night at their homes. My second resource is a web seminar for teachers when teaching about the moon, this seminar gives information about when astronauts traveled to the moon and what happened. This is beneficial for teachers because it gives them insight that they could share/talk about with their students when teaching about the moon. My third resource is a lesson plan about the different seasons. This lesson plan is great to follow, it includes a book you can read to engage students and also an activity for students to make collages of the different seasons by collecting artifacts for each season.
