Hi Magdalene! This is a very important topic because it ensures not only our safety but most importantly the students. I think if we read some of the informational resources found on NSTA we can gain some perspective on how we can ensure the safety of our students. As per getting training for proper use of equipment hopefully we gain this knowledge from our schools.

A question I have when it comes to activities with students is would we need to get approval of any experiments we want to include in our lessons? For example, if we are teaching them about chemical reactions and I want to show them the mentos and coke experiment. Would I need to get permission to take the students outside or just clearance on conducting this experiment?
