My name is Michaela, and I am a student at San Diego State University. I am in the multiple subject credential program, and I plan on becoming an elementary school teacher. I love being around kids, and becoming a teacher has been a life-long dream of mine. Besides teaching, I also enjoy cooking, playing sports, spending time with my family, traveling, and being outdoors.

I also have the same concerns. I am finishing up the credential program next month, and I'm starting to apply for jobs. I am worried that parents will not want me to be their child's teacher because I am so young and it will be my first year teaching. But we all have to start somewhere, so hopefully parents will understand that.

This is a simple, but great idea. I can see how students started to understand frameshift/point after this simple task. If I ever get to teach about genetics, I will definitely use this technique. Thanks for sharing!

I also think it's a great idea to have pets in the classroom. When I was in elementary school, my teachers always had pets. I'm not sure what kind of animals I would have in the classroom. I have never had a pet before, so I would have to look into it more. Any suggestions on classroom pets?
