I like to provide students with enrichment activities that are counted as extra credit. These are usually activities which help students make a connection to real world events and scenarios. I always like to explain to students that this a theory. I widely excepted theory but a theory. They don't have to believe it but they should focus on the evidence that is presented and then formulate an opinion.
