Hello! In my county, they give us instruction on how to set up the sicence notebook and which activity goes in the notebook. you should check with the county or your mentor teacher about how the county does with notebook. It usually give you packet and notebook instruction!

Hello, I think when tou integrate literature with all contents, it give you more time for students to explor topic since content in elementary is such a short time specially in primary grade. I think integrting literature with all contents is such a good idea and good way to teach literacy skills while students are learning about the science and social studies!

Hello, I am pre-service teacher too! What my mentor and other teacehrs do is they will read the book relate to the sciecne topic and simply read the book as read alound during literacy time.

ongoing inquiry for younger children

teachers can use student's interest and can provide focused questions that engage in observations and direct students to a problem that they can solve. The activity described in this article addresses the size of drops of water and can lead to an understanding of different states of matter. Author gave idea of how inquiry could be used for younger children in everyday class.

love this ariticle

I love this article. This give the general but the important idea and level of different inquiry level that teacher should know when teaching inquiry-based instruction. I think this article will be useful for new teacher because it gives different level from level one to level 4 which is the ideal inquiry-based instruction that teachers can reference when teaching.
