I am a student teacher and we were actually talking about teaching the scale of the solar system in class a few weeks ago. This will definitely be a helpful resource to use in my future classroom! :)

I would definitely agree that integration is most likely the key to providing students with meaningful science experiences. My district only allows for 20 minutes a day of science as well, which is extremely short for 5E lessons. Most of the time the teachers have to divide one lesson up into several days.

Discovery education and PBS media are definitely the most helpful sites. Although I can find what I need on you tube as well, it seems to be a lot less filtering with the educational sites. :) Thank you for posting this question, it is hard to find good solid educational ideas out there so feedback from others is great!
