I love the way this text gives a baseline for inquiry-based learning. My future students are going to love how it connects to interests such as Star Wards, racing, problem-solving, and teamwork! I would love to dive into the ELL flexible design challenges. The school I will be working in has a good chunk of students in the ELL program and I think engineering activities like these would allow students to work on problem-solving & communicating with their peers. I didn't think to look at after school programs, but definitely will after reviewing some of their program ideas! Overall, love the challenge and inquiry-based approach and I want to get more details from the book in its entirety.

This seems to be a well thought out middle school engineering challenge. Is there much specific detail? No. I think we will need to purchase the book to get the specifics. I like the challenge and am thankful of having a class in which the entire challenge can be taught.
