The article recommends a lot of good resources for the classroom. There are short video clips and a longer PBS video if you are interested. It would be good to link the resources together in a webquest, but they can be used with a whole class and my 9th graders generated good discussion with the material.

After students taking an AP Environmental Test were asked about fracking, this teacher decided to teach her students about fracking. Where I live this is a hot topic. She started with the basics about what fracking is. She uses videos and there is even a music video about this topic. Teaching to current events related to environmental science helps her students keep up to date as well as prepare for anything.
