This e-book refreshed my knowledge on content I learned a long time ago in school. I was able to deepen my knowledge of genetics and further my understanding of heredity. I liked the quizzes after each section because it helped me gain confidence in what I was reading and allowed me to go back to the topic and reread it, if I did not get the question right. I also enjoyed doing the actual experiments in the pop-ups throughout the e-book. I would recommend this e-book to my peers, but I would not assign it to my students. I think it would need to be broken down into sections because students may become overwhelmed if they see all of it at one time. Overall, I thought this e-book was a good choice to further your knowledge on the science behind heredity and variation.

I chose to complete this Interactive E-Book over all of the others, because I love learning about this topic. This e-book gave me a refresh on some of the things I already knew, but it also taught me a lot that I did not already know. The short informal assessments/quizzes throughout the book prepared me for the final assessment. For me, it kept me engaged, and that is pretty good considering it was such a long book! I would definitely recommend this topic to other peers in my class. I am very pleased and happy I chose this Interactive E-Book! I hope those of you who chose to complete this e-book enjoy it as much as I did.

I decided to pick this Interactive E Book over any other because I have always been interested in this topic since elementary! Im so glad that I chose this book because it was a great refresher on some things and I also learned some new information too! This E Book does a great job at making sure you are ready for the assessment by implementing quizzes at the end of each section. The quizzes were extremely helpful for me, making me feel confident in myself and what I have learned! I will definitely recommend this E Book to others and just to anyone in general who is interested In this topic! This book does a great job in keeping the reader engaged throughout the book and kept mine, which is sometimes hard haha! To conclude, this was a great choice and I am glad I picked this!

I chose this ebook because the topic was something that I felt like I knew some about but not enough. It had a ton of information in it as well as examples and mini quizzes that prepared me for the final assessment. It provided many great questions as well as places to "Check Your Thinking." It also had simulations, which were very helpful tools. The pages were easy to read and did not have a ton of words on them, so it was also easy to follow. It is very engaging and informative. I strongly recommend this ebook to anyone that is wanting to know more about heredity and variation!!

I really enjoyed this eBook! It was a great resource to further explore heredity and variation as well as a great refresher for information I had already learned. The interactive aspect really allowed for me to understand the concept in a more meaningful way and I feel it would be a great resource for children learning about this topic. I really liked that it had quizzes at the end of each chapter because it helped you see how much you learned and what you needed to work on. I also feel the quizzes really helped prepare me for the final assessment at the end. Overall, this book did a great job at keeping me interested and engaged while providing me with new information. Great book!

I used this resource and found it both extremly information and helpful. There was so munch content covered in a reader-freidnly way. This format kept me engaged and interested as I continued through the book with ease. With the inclusion of the quizzes, I was also able to monitor my learnign to ensure I was full undertsanding the concepts. Great resource overall and I will defintly keep it close to me to reference at many points in my teaching carrer.

I chose to read the Heredity and Variation Scipack for my elementary education class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Before I decided to major in education, I was a biology major with hopes and dreams of becoming a genetic counselor. I feel like this book touched on the major points of the subject without it being overly saturated with unnecessary details. It provided adequate history about genetics and then moved into the more specific operating details. I really did enjoy reading this book and think that it served its purpose in informing the readers of the vital components necessary for understanding genetics.

I completed the Heredity & Variation Scipack and am very happy I did! It contained tons of useful information. I really enjoyed the enhanced e-book because it kept me engaged. The interactive activities throughout the e-book are also great! These tools really help the reader to remind focused, engaged, and they also help with understanding the content! I reviewed Heredity and Variation. I love that the Enhanced E-book contains a lot of interactive tools such as videos and simulations. These interactive tools really help with understanding the concepts. I am using the Enhanced E-book to build my content knowledge before teaching my students in third grade. I am also using the Enhanced E-book to learn what my grade level needs to learn and about the misconceptions they may have. My students are benefiting because I am more knowledgeable about the topic that I am teaching.

I liked learning with the enhanced e-book because it included quizzes as you went to be sure you understand what you are learning as you go and not just at the end. I also really enjoyed reading about the common misconceptions students might come to the table with or take from their experiences. This allows me to be prepared to explain why those thoughts are not correct. I liked watching the short video clips. I believe I am a more visual learner so seeing processes after reading about them made me understand them much better. I would love to see e-books on a lower level for children to use as a learning tool.

This is a resource that allowed me to add to my knowledge base and give me a great foundation of information to use with my students. This enhanced e-book presents the scientific material in an easy to understand and engaging way. The slide shows and interactives set up mock-experiments to illustrate and cement concepts. They make reading a multi-dimensional experience. Embedded 'hands-on' ideas have also given me great ideas for my classroom. I definitely recommend this book and will be buying other enhanced e-books in this series.

The Heredity and Variation Interactive E-Book is a great text for both those with little exposure to the topic and those who want to refresh their knowledge. While it starts by introducing the basics of genetics, it progresses as at reasonable pace to more advanced concepts. There are also plenty of opportunities to apply and test your knowledge. My favorite interactive activity was the dragon genetics. Readers had to utilize their understanding of Mendelian inheritance, dominant and recessive alleles, and genotype vs phenotype to accurately produce an offspring with the desired characteristics from the two dragon parents. It was a fun way to see genetics in action, and it was just difficult enough to be interesting without being frustrating. I would recommend this book to any teacher, regardless of your previous science background!

I enjoyed most of this interactive experience. Throughout my time with this book, I was able to learn a lot, depending my knowledge of genetics. I found the simplified ideas beneficial, as it took more complicated concepts and simplified them (such as genetic mutations). I also appreciated the presence of the check for understanding questions throughout the objects. I did have an issue with the interactive activity that required you to build a cell - it wouldn’t work properly. Overall, this was a pleasant experience.

I like the interactive components of the Ebook. However, I feel if this ebook was assigned to students, it should be broken down into a more accessible language for them. Some of the topics were complex for me to understand. Therefore, if an educator is going to use this to students, they should ensure they are proficient enough to comprehend this academic text. Overall, the eBook was insightful and taught me a lot about what is going on inside me as it comes to DNA and heredity. It is refreshing to know the inside processes of your body. I had no issues with any links or interactive components; all was well.

I used the interactive e-book for Heredity & Variation and was super impressed with the amount of information that was available for me. The readings were not too long so it made it extremely easy for me to work through it and comprehend the information that was stated. In this e-book, there were many interactive tools which helped me to understand the concepts that were being discussed. The information within the book helped me to figure out the key details in which I should be teaching my students during the lesson plan I was creating, and I really enjoyed that at the end of each section there were questions that I could check my thinking will. At the end of each chapter in the e-book, there were quizzes that were made available to me so that I could ensure that I was comprehending the content that was being provided. I really enjoyed this interactive e-book and would definitely use it again in the future.
