I really enjoyed this e-book! The topic was both interesting and engaging, keeping my attention from start to finish. I especially appreciated that it went beyond just presenting information, there were interactive activities that helped me fully understand the material. Features like built-in quizzes and checks for understanding were extremely helpful, as they not only tested my knowledge but also explained why answers were correct or incorrect. The visuals and interactive elements made learning fun and easy to follow. I loved being able to explore the coral reef ecosystem through simulations, microscopes, and other interactive features. The quizzes throughout were excellent preparation for the final assessment, and the classroom implications section provided useful ideas for applying the information in real-life settings. The only minor issue I noticed was that some interactive items were a bit hard to spot at times. I really enjoyed this e-book! The Coral Reef Ecosystems Review was an engaging way to learn information and test new knowledge on coral reefs. I enjoyed all of the interactive pieces of the e-book, like the option to test different impacts on ecosystems, or exploring the ecosystem through a microscope. The quizzes throughout perfectly prepared me to test my knowledge in the final assessment. The information was easy to follow, and the implications for the classroom at the end were a great addition. I did have some trouble noticing items I could interact with at times. It might be beneficial for icons to be made larger or more noticeable.

I loved getting to go through this NSTA e-book! I have always been interested in Coral Reef Ecosystems so this was very informative for me, and I really enjoyed it. I really liked the quizzes and open images throughout the book because I thought it was super engaging. I really enjoyed using the NSTA e-book Coral Reef Ecosystems! I liked the quiz and pop ups that were imbedded into the book. These helped me get more valuable information and check my understanding while I went through the book. The only issue I ran into was with some of the quizzes the questions were not lined up properly and I would have issues completing the questions.

I loved this interactive e-book! I felt that it was very informative and gave really solid facts. I enjoyed the different types of widgets that gave you the opportunity to practice or gave you fun tips. The interactive aspect of the e-book was fun and a terrific way to use technology. This would be engaging for younger children, too! The images that were shown were engaging and helped me connect with prior knowledge! The descriptions and facts were clear and concise. Sometimes, it would take a little time for my images or videos to load, but overall, it was a great experience!

I learned a lot from going through this e-book. Overall the e-book was engaging and interactive. I will say that there were some parts of the e-book with more information and not enough visuals and interactive pieces. Due to this, as I was approaching the end of the e-book I began to loose interest towards the end.

This E-Book was an extremely effective tool for learning about coral reefs! I really appreciated all of the interactive elements and information it had. I learned a lot about coral reefs that I did not know before, such as the human effects on coral reefs and how interdependent they are within the ecosystem. I do feel that, in terms of pedagogy and implementation, the e-book provided a lot of information with very few interactive elements, which made me less engaged near the end.

This e-book was very informative and interactive! It gave concise information about coral reef ecosystems being in crisis, how they are interdependent to the global web, the different kinds of coral reefs, and how unique they are. I thoroughly enjoyed the video clips and interactive assignments it provides throughout the e-book. The interactive assignments give the learner a chance to take a break from the reading and put what they have learned to the test! I also liked how the quizzes were spread-out throughout the book, giving us time to reflect on what we learned in each section. I also enjoyed how it included the standards coral reefs falls under and ways to implement it in the classroom! The only thing I would change is putting more videos in to make it less overwhelming with the big chunks of readings.

I enjoyed reading this e-book over the coral reef. I thought that the images were intriguing and allowed me to relate to my past experiences of seeing coral reefs in the ocean. The interactive learning aspects were a great way to incorporate technology to enhance the learning experience. I thought the descriptions were easy to understand, and the placements were great. I would highly recommend this e-book to anyone interested in coral reef ecosystems or anyone who is teaching in this area of learning. This author done a fantastic job including pictures and illustrations of all the different kinds of marine and coral life. This e-book expanded my knowledge greatly on coral reef ecosystems. I was able to stay focused and having the quizzes along the way was a very helpful tool! I can now differentiate between the different type of coral reefs.

I definitely would suggest not only educators, but anyone interested to read this e-book as it expanded my knowledge immensely on coral reef ecosystems. Not only was the e-book super informative, but it was easy to navigate and provided fun facts about coral reefs for those who enjoy fun facts! The quizzes were also helpful in letting me gauge what I had retained from the reading and helped me prepare for the final assessment for my certificate. One critique I have for this e-book is how some of the interactive simulations did not want to immediately work. Maybe it was a problem on my end, but overall, I would recommend this e-book!

This interactive Ebook was really interesting to go through considering it was my first ever experience completing one. The content was well taught and easy to follow especially how interactive it was at certain points because it's not always easy for me to sit and follow along with online content. So I was able to stay engaged enough to maintain the information told about aquatic life and the ecosystems built around it, along with testing my knowledge along the way even though the quizzes would glitch a little to where I could only see half the question or answers.

It was quite an informative experience. This eBook covers many topics-- from the basic structure of coral reefs to the ecological roles they play in marine environments. The content is well-organized and easy to understand. One of the standout features is its interactive elements, which help bring the material to life. These interactive components, such as clickable diagrams and simulations, enhanced my understanding and kept me engaged! My only suggestion for improvement is updating the software. The eBook was occasionally glitchy, which caused some minor disruptions in the reading experience.

I had some background knowledge of coral reef ecosystems before reading. Each science objective had the right amount of information to where it wasn't overwhelming. Out of all the ideas discussed in this book, reef ecology is the most enjoyable to read. I highly recommend this book to everyone. In choosing my topic, I weighed my decision based on what looked the coolest. This book was a great way for me to gain a surplus of information about the coral reef. When I began this book I was intrigued from the start. I felt called back to the book each time I had to stop my reading. When it came time for me to take the final test, I passed with flying colors because of my meaningful note taking and knowledge retained from this great book. I absolutely loves this e-book! It is sometimes hard for me to stay focused when I am reading because I lose interest, but not with this book! This book had so many interactive components that I loved and helped me to really learn and understand the information. It also had extremely beautiful pictures in it and helped me to see and visualize all of the information, which, again, was great for me because I am a visual learner. Another great aspect of this e-book is that it is broken up into topics and subtopics that I can navigate back and forth through. Overall, I learned so much about the coral reef ecosystems.

This book was fantastic! I learned so much about Coral Reefs and how the world around them can help or hurt them. I enjoyed the read-aloud feature as I learn better listening to material than reading it. Though I listened to the book I was blown away by the beautiful pictures and visuals! At many parts of the book I felt as if I was scuba diving in the deep sea myself. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is a deep sea lover and interested in exploring the world around them!

There were so many beautiful, vivid pictures that provided a deeper understanding of the ecosystems of coral reefs. The quizzes located at the end of each section were very helpful and allowed me to reflect on the new information that I had learned in order to prepare for the final assessment. I feel that this e-book would ensure students were able to establish meaningful connections to the material, resulting in a deeper understanding about coral reefs than they would initially have developed from a traditional textbook. I will absolutely be incorporating this e-book into future instruction!

I liked the interactive sections where you could practice skills, see visuals of the coral reefs or check for understanding. They helped me see where I needed to study more and where I could move on. After completing all the sections, I felt like I had a better understanding of Coral Reef ecosystems. I can see myself using this in my future classroom as an add-on to a biology or ecology unit.

I loved reading this e-book! I really enjoyed all of the interactive elements. I thought they were very engaging, especially the ones that gave real-life scenarios, like the one with the trophic levels. Corals are so beautiful and have always been interesting to me, so it was very neat to get to read about them, see them, and interact with them in a new way. I thought the quizzes and checks for understanding throughout the book were a great touch! They helped me to truly understand what I was reading and make sure that I was on track as I read through the book. Finally, I loved how each word that I did not know had a definition that would pop up if you clicked on it. Really helped me to fully get the concepts. Great book!

It was very easy to work through, and the quizzes throughout were useful to check yourself based on your understanding of what you just read. I really like how engaging and hands on this E-book was. This ebook teaches about the life of coral reefs, the aninmals that inhabit them, and the type of stresses that affect coral reef ecosystems. I loved that it provided cool interactive apps/activities to test your learning and also help you learn as well. The ebook quizzes also help test your knowledge and skills, and tells you why certain questions are right or wrong. The pictures and the interactive activities definitely allowed me to stay engaged with reading this ebook.

I was surprised about how much I enjoyed this interactive E-book! I learned a lot, but I also did not feel clueless. I had no idea how much science went into coral reefs! I loved the short activities that this provided. The way that this was broken up was manageable, and I appreciated the mini quizzes, because they gave me a good idea on my progress and what the final assessment would be like. If I were to improve the e-book, I would add a progress percentage bar, because I enjoy working towards a goal and seeing my progress. I would definitely recommend this to a classmate!

My favorite part of this e-book was the amazing pictures. These pictures were very interesting. They included bright close views of the coral reefs. Looking at these pictures while reading about coral reefs, has driven me to research more information about coral reefs and their ecosystems on my own. I enjoyed reading and looking through this scipak/ebook it was very informative I learned so much about the coral reef and how they work. I have always been intrigued by them and wanted to visit where they are located. But I didn't know near as much information about them as I do now after going through this and reading about the different aspects that goes with the reefs and where they are located. The only thing that I experienced that didn't work for me was the interactive parts of the scipak/ebook , other than that everything worked and went smoothly with it. I would definitely recommend this to other people especially if they enjoy learning about the ocean and what lives in it.

I purchased this e-book because I didn't know a lot about coral reef ecosystems and wanted to understand them so that I could be more prepared to teach my students. From the moment I opened the e-book I was captivated by the stunning images, videos, interactive examples, and opportunities to check my learning. Each page contained just enough information for me to process without being overwhelming. The e-book was easy to navigate, which allowed me to easily jump from one topic to another based on my interest level. I love that I was able to listen to the text, as well as highlight important ideas, add notes, and bookmark pages. All of these annotations were saved so that I can access them in the future. The “Coral Reef Ecosystems” e-book was thoroughly engaging and deepened my understanding of the coral reef ecosystem and all that lives within it. The interactive elements of the book kept my interest as I worked through the book. I very much enjoyed how it was laid out and how each section was divided as the author built on previously mentioned knowledge through each section. I also thought the assessment at the end appropriately asked questions that were covered in the text and helped me to fully check my understanding for the content. Overall, I would recommend other science teachers take the time to read through and interact with this “Coral Reef Ecosystems” e-book!

One of my assignments this semester was to complete and E-book and the final assessment at the end. I really enjoyed this book. It had lots of information in it that I did not know about and I found it to be a good read. The assessment at the end was hard. I liked that you get three chances to pass the assessment. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and would not mind to read it again if I had to.

This resource was good. It was interesting to learn about coral reefs because I did not have much prior knowledge about them. I think I will be able to use this information when I become a teacher. It provided guidance on how to teach the content and make it interesting for students. It gave great diagrams and pictures to reference.

This interactive e-book is put together very well. The interactive aspects really keep you engaged during your reading. The drag-and-drop labeling mechanics can take some getting used to though, especially the first time you see it in use during a review question on page 8 (if the picture was blown up more it would make it easier to see what you are trying to label as you are doing so). Overall, the review questions are really helpful and relate to the assessment very well. I really feel that I have a much better understanding of Coral Reef ecosystems after reading this e-book, and I enjoyed the it a lot.

This e book was so interactive and interesting! One of my favorite activities was acting like you were a reef manager and having to make decisions. One of my greatest take aways was all of the information about coral (bleaching). I was made aware of where I needed to go back and study because of the check points throughout the reading. It also made real world connections with all of the activities. I will never forget the information about how humans (pollution) have such a great effect on coral reef ecosystems. Sometimes, an activity would have you pull answers to a diagram and it would pull the answer back down to the bottom.

One thing that I really enjoy about not only this E-book but every E-book is the option to listen to the material. It makes it so easy to take notes or work on other assignments while still listening to the information. The pictures that were included were beautiful and the diagrams immensely helpful. I liked how at the end of each object there was a summary page. The summary page allowed me review all the information from the object in a simplified form. These summaries were also very helpful for quiz preparation. Speaking of the quizzes, they were great! Even if you get an answer wrong you have an unlimited amount of attempts to get the correct answer. The object quizzes also explain the correct answer or why a chosen answer is incorrect. I've always been interested in coral reefs and I learned a lot from this E-book!

Somehow I made it to adulthood without knowing how ALIVE coral reefs are. Needless to say, this e-book was packed with information. The subtopics concerning coral diversity, species diversity, and human-caused reef stress were my favorite. I consider myself an environmentally conscious person, but living in a landlocked state, I've never really thought about human impact on reef ecosystems. There was definitely a lot to learn in those sections. Overall, I enjoyed the interactive portions of this e-book. It was very handy to be able to click on a key word and get the definition, and the interactive "iPad" games were neat. My feedback would be: Below the e-book where it lists the table of contents, I think there should be page numbers so that you have an idea of how long each section is. I also think it would be helpful to know how many subsections are in the section. That way a reader can plan for how long they can sit down and read. I ran into trouble activating the final assessment. I went through and redid all the mini review quizzes and then the final assessment appeared. I don't know if that was a glitch or if I overlooked a quiz the first time. So perhaps there could be some sort of checklist for which mini review quizzes were completed so that a person can see if they accidentally missed one. This was an interesting e-book, and I do recommend choosing this one to read.

I really enjoyed this ebook, it was very informational and engaging. It is easy to navigate and follow along. I especially liked the interactive videos and activities. I did take advantage of the audio and listened to most of the slides. This was especially helpful for me because I am not a big reader and like to learn through listening or visuals. Each page caught my attention with the beautiful pictures of coral reefs. One thing I would change about the ebook is with the audio the narrator likes to read all the little captions. During this, I would just pause the audio but for me I would have liked if it only read me the information I needed to learn. Overall, I really enjoyed this ebook and believed that I learned a lot from it. I now have a new appreciation for the ocean and keeping it clean. I would definitely recommend this ebook to other people.

Great e-book! The book is not only beautiful, but is filled with information concerning the ecology of the coral reefs. I especially like the interactive functions, such as "review what you learn", "common preconceptions" and the embedded videos. In the back of the book is a strand for different grades levels that is helpful in planning for use in the classroom. Excellent resource!
