Hello Cesareo, hands on activitys are alwasy a stimulating option for students. It lets them take ownership over their own learning and discover new knowledge. This can also be done in small groups to incorprate collabration in your classroom which also aids learning.

Hello Isabel, there are many ways to keep students engaged during a lesson using full particaption strategies such as, graphic organzier to follow along with notes, having them rate themslef on your objective before and after your lesson. Hello Tauna, One curriculum I have experienced and felt that it served the group of students well was HMH (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). This system is hands-on and encourages your students to use problem solving skills. This is like an engineer who must use STEAM ( science, technology, engineering, math). To solve real world problems presented in an age friendly way that still changes them.
