This article provided a wonderful insight into the very beginnings of differentiating science to be accessible for all. One thing that I really liked within the article was that the one activity they suggested would be to have each student bring in something from their home to investigate. That way everyone can learn and share about their backgrounds. This article also mentioned how ELL learners will benefit by learning names and vocabulary associated with the objects in the center. This article overall talks about how to make science centers more accessible to all and does not really go into NGSS standards. One shortfall that might happen could be that the some classrooms don't have a long enough science period to do investigations. Overall, the article had great takeaways that I will use in my classroom.

This article takes the position that science centers address student diversity as well as the ability of students from different backgrounds to work together. Advice is given about these centers keeping students uniqueness as a consideration when selecting items to manipulate. I.e. At a sound station have students beat on gourds instead of cans and such. This article is interesting in that it offers a different twist on the concept of science centers.
